Carbon Calculator
Most calculators give every flight on a route the same figure. Carbon Calculator identifies the flight you took and calculates it with the aircraft, cabin layout, occupancy and distance that applied that day, using the method published by our founders at KTH. Use it to compare trips, and to get recommendations on how to reduce your emissions.
Data collection
Our solution efficiently and autonomously evaluates your data, irrespective of your organisation’s scale, ensuring a secure and discreet treatment of sensitive information.
Calculation
Emissions are calculated using Carbon Compute’s scientifically proven algorithms. The result is verified by the Carbon Compute team.
Tailored reports
Data is analysed and presented in fresh reports with graphs, giving you insights about how to lower your emissions. Our qualified team also offers support on how to reach your goals.
Did you know?
The CO₂ emissions for the same flight between Stockholm and New York can vary by as much as 60%!
This discrepancy primarily arises from differences in aircraft types and the number of seats. Some newer aircraft are notably less fuel-efficient than older models, and an increased number of seats leads to lower emissions per capita.
Carbon Compute utilises real-time data for our emissions calculations. Consequently, we have access to precise flight details, including the specific route, altitude, passenger count and seat configuration. This level of accuracy is crucial when assessing your personal or team’s carbon footprint.
Distance-based calculators cannot show this, since every flight on the same route gets the same figure.
